It uses a standard IEC cable to power on. This unit is 100-240V so can be plugged in and played anywhere in the world.This MPC will ship with an english user manual and a 2GB SANDISK Ultra CF card to get you started.This MPC1000 has been thoroughly tested and is working as it should.The pads feel great and are nice to press and program with. This included installing a pad upgrade kit. This unit has JJOS Version 5 Installed.We have not seen what is underneath this sticker, however from what we can see, physically this unit is in great used condition. This unit has had a grey decal sticker put over the top.The MPC1000 is small, rugged and incredibly portable for an easy fit into a backpack or laptop bag for the traveling producer. Plus the MPC2000xl is compact and has no vents where dust can get into it.MPC1000 inherits all of the essential MPC features such as 32-voice stereo sampling, 64-track sequencing, and 16 velocity and pressure-sensitive MPC pads, fitting all the production capability into a compact, affordable package. I can save mad songs, fully arranged in the hard drive plus save sounds in it. Here's my video you can take a look and see my CDROM, Hard Drive and Zip Drive is hooked up to it. The MPC2000xl doesn't take a load up disk it just comes on with the new OS in it. The Time stretch works well with loops not so much of your own playing and putting that sound on a pad. You can also silence sounds with in those sounds you cut also. You can also do Automation on the MPC2000xl, that's real slick. The View window on the MPC2000xl tilts up, I use to hate the 2000 because I had to always lean over to see, you can go blind and mess up your back. I have a CDROM, Huge Hard Drive, and a Zip Disk Port all Connected to the MPC in a daisy change, hot! The XL has a better transfer rate with scsi because it has a new output on the back which you can attach a hard drive to your MPC2000xl and that's what I have. You can re-sample, Time stretch, reverse etc in the XL. I had the 2000, got rid if it when the 2000xl came out better all around.
